About the Illustrator
Irene Bofill is a freelance illustrator currently living in Valencia.
Irene graduated in Fine Arts and then studied for a master’s in design and illustration at the Polythecnic University of Valencia. During this time she spent one year at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bolonia on an Erasmus internship and that was where she decided to completely dedicate herself to illustration.
Since then Irene has tried to combine two of her passions, illustration and travel, whenever possible.

About Random Gamp
The character of Random Gamp was inspired from two sources or ideas.
The first was that everyone needs help and sometimes we are able to help others. These episodes can be planned, but are occasionally placed in our lives seemingly at random.
The second source comes from Dickens. Random Gamp needed something to represent the “magic” of helping others. I have always been fascinated with umbrellas and wanted to include one in the stories. See Dickens’ story of Martin Chuzzlewit and the character of Sarah Gamp.
